In The Archives of Tomorrow’s Clouds

Weather segment reports skies
will look sunrise enough for you
to reconsider and know day
is worth waking up to.

If you can’t find your sleep,
when I finally find mine
I’ll dream for us both.

If no dreams are dreamt
the world won’t exclude us
from being present.

I find that beautiful.

How deep do I have to reach
into myself to welcome
my belonging here?

In the archives of tomorrow’s clouds
I hope enough, until I become my own
archivist.

I believe that I’m pulling out fragments
of my future every time I find the strength
to rise out of this bed.

I find trying too is beautiful.
