What I’m Trying to Say

i pass out in the hair salon when the stylist asks about my future / i fall apart on the sidewalk when i’m telling my mom about my past / what i’m trying to say is that there’s nothing holding me together / what i'm trying to say is that sometimes i feel so distant from myself / if i looked in a mirror i don’t know who i’d see / what i'm trying to say is that i feel so guilty about who i am and who i have been / if i looked in a mirror it’d shatter / what i’m trying to say is / you could take me apart with one wrong word
