Typos

I like finding typos in poetry.

Words not deleted,

lines left behind

like grains of gold

sifted from rough sand.

They are not mistakes.

They are little pockets of truth

of what the author meant to say

before it was revised into the perfect line.

How many times have I written

I’m sorry

before changing it to

I love you?
