Step One

To become all that you are you had to create a shell not only so

You could hide.

From the start you were amazing taking in all that you could

Some leaves were bad though some were good

You had a taste of what was for you, and you avoided what wasn’t

And if you become tired that’s okay

Not everything in life goes your way

Being out there all alone

You had to create a shell to call your home

And in there you grew

Resting and reminiscing on the life you once had

Breaking out of that shell isn’t half as bad

And when you have reflected there wasn’t much time to cry

Because through healing you’ve earned your wings and now you can fly

So please be gentle with the passage of time

Because a new chapter has begun and this time you will touch the sky
