Covid Caught My Father

The coin is flipping

Crows are cackling

Mind is racing

I am still numb

My dad is breathing

But not on his own

Love is in the air

& somehow you’re alone

Older siblings are crumbling

While younger ones hold strong

Feels like

They’re the ones pulling us along

Each day scrapes by

Long and slow

So much to live for

It isn’t your time to go
